Our vision is to become one of the top seats of higher learning in International Relations. Our aim is to establish Centre of Excellence in Strategic Studies, Regional Studies and Diplomacy and International Law.
Mission
The M.phil in International Relations (IR) is an interdisciplinary program which majorly focuses on the changing political, economic and socio-cultural relations within the international system of the modern era. The program explores how global, regional and domestic factors influence relations between actors on the world stage. Our mission is to provide students with an understanding of the global system’s past, the tools to function effectively in the present, and the ability to respond to future developments.
Overview
The M Phil in International Relations is a research oriented program which is designed to meet the needs of all those who wish to enhance their understanding of the subject. The program recognizes the changing nature of the contemporary political, economic and socio-cultural environment and seeks to lay an interdisciplinary basis for understanding these changes. International Relations is a growing and ever-evolving field and highly skilled professionals are in high demand. M.Phil International Relations program can help equip students with the skills to work on a global scale.

Research Thesis:
An M.Phil candidate who has completed her course work with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 must present and pass the oral proposal defense examination before she is allowed to carry out her Masters research. On passing the thesis proposal defense the student must carry out a research study which is described in a thesis. She must successfully defend the completed work in an oral examination involving a presentation and question answer session in the presence of an external examiner.
