Program Overview

Biotechnology is emerging as a cutting-edge discipline of science and technology. The scope of this discipline is increasing with more and more basic and applied research endeavors in major areas such as health and medicine, agriculture, industry and environment. The union of biotechnology with recombinant DNA technology (genetic engineering) has developed a new field called molecular biotechnology. This new science focuses on development of modified or new products, ultimately, leading to commercialization of these products.

The aim of introducing this four year degree programme in biotechnology is to develop comprehensive understanding of theoretical and practical concepts among students.

Physics
