Kinnaird College for Women, established in 1913, is the liberal arts college in Pakistan offering educational opportunities to women at the undergraduate and graduate level. Kinnaird College was granted a degree awarding status in 1998 in recognition for its academic excellence which has further enhanced its standing.
The College Campus dates back to 1938, when a few buildings were constructed to serve the academic and residential needs of a growing student body. 1994, the Mira Phailbus Center with provision of residential facilities for about 130 students and Women’s Center were conceived. The basement extended onto the Perin Boga Amphitheatre. These buildings were constructed through raising funds of about Rs 30 million from the private sector.
The Library Complex is a coming together of the old and new and ties up the visual and the academic elements of the greater Master Plan Kinnaird College.
Kinnaird College thus reaches out to friends and philanthropists, both in Pakistan and abroad to help Kinnaird provide quality education to Pakistani women.
